Spring 2017 One-on-One Information Sessions

January 30, 2017

If you are facing a decision about your pension, you might want to sit down face-to-face with someone to discuss your options. Perhaps you would like some help to better understand the material you have been sent by the Plan, or need to have a Commissioner for Oaths sign a pension document. You can do all this at a one-on-one information session. These sessions are available year-round in Edmonton, and are regularly scheduled at other locations around Alberta. One-on-one sessions normally take up to half an hour, and do not include any financial planning, financial advice, or any information related to Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, or your other employer benefits.

It is critical that you bring both photo identification and a pension estimate produced in the past six months with you to your one-on-one. This allows us to see the most important details about your pension history as well as your possible pension options. To get an updated estimate, you can log on to mypensionplan.ca, click on Pensions in the menu bar, and select "Pension Projection Calculator". You can book your one-on-one session by visiting mypensionplan.ca or calling the Member Services Centre at 1-877-809-SFPP (7377).
