Contribution Rates
Members and employers make contributions to the pension plan.
Your contributions are based on a percentage of your pensionable salary and are made through payroll deduction. Special Forces Pension Board reviews contributions rates at least every three years and may change them as necessary.
| Current SFPP Contribution Rates | |
| Members | 13.45% |
| Employers | 14.55% |
| Government (for pre-1992 funded liability) | 1.25% |
An actuarial valuation to determine the Plan's contribution rates must be done every three years. Contribution rates are adjusted periodically to help ensure sufficient assets are available to pay all benefits promised under the Special Forces Pension Plan both today and in the future.
